Dem intern suspended, not fired, after cursing at Trump

An intern who shouted at “Mr President, f*** you!” across the Capitol Rotunda to President Donald Trump last week has been identified as a Democratic intern who works in the office of Sen. Maggie Hassan.

The 21-year-old, Caitlin Marriott, who worked for the Democratic New Hampshire senator, was suspended for one week and had her congressional intern ID badge revoked — but she wasn’t fired.

Instead of terminating the heckler for disrespecting our commander-in-chief, the Democratic senator barely punished her out-of-control intern.

Trump was walking through the Capitol last week to meet with Republican lawmakers to discuss immigration issues when the expletive was yelled.

According to Fox News, Congressional authorities quickly identified Marriott and were able to determine that she was not a threat to the president.

After shouting at Trump, Marriott ran away and hid. U.S. Capitol Police issued an “be on the lookout” over their radios and had to track her down.

Marriott will be confined to her duties only in Hassan’s office on the third floor of the Hart Senate office. She will be suspended for a week, and has had her Congressional intern ID badge revoked which restricts her access to the Capitol.

Hassan’s communications director, Aaron Jacobs, said last week’s incident was a “breach of office policies regarding respectful and appropriate conduct.”

So why didn’t they fire the heckler?
