White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is pushing back against claims that she is planning on leaving her position.

According to a story published by CBS, friends of Sanders’ told the news station that both Sanders and principal deputy press secretary Raj Shah are quitting the administration.

In a response to CBS’ story, Sanders lashed out at the network for not even contacting her before running a story about her supposed plans to leave.

“Does @CBSNews know something I don’t about my plans and my future? I was at my daughter’s year-end Kindergarten event and they ran a story about my ‘plans to leave the WH’ without even talking to me.”

“I love my job and am honored to work for @POTUS,” she continued.

Following Sanders’ response, CBS reported that they reached out to both Sanders and Shah before publishing their report, but both decline to comment.

According to Fox News, “Both Sanders and Shah are weighing future options… which may or may not include their departures from the White House.”

Both could remain in their roles, but rumors have circulated that Sanders could leave as soon as sometime after the November midterm elections.

Sanders was promoted to press secretary following the resignation of Sean Spicer in July 2017. And Shah was promoted to deputy press secretary last September.
