Miracle dog survives incredible 2,000 mile trip, is heading home

What an incredible journey. The owners of a pit bull who disappeared during flooding in Texas in May are puzzled as to how the animal ended up more than 2,000 miles away in northern California, but are grateful he’s coming home.

Eddie Hurtado says Thor ran away after his family evacuated their San Marcos home that was overwhelmed by the swelling Blanco River during storms over Memorial Day weekend.

Police found Thor wandering in Crescent City, California, in September and took him to the Del Norte County Animal Shelter, where workers used the microchip to identify him.

Hurtado says he doesn’t know how Thor got to California.

Hurtado says he can’t afford the estimated $1,500 to ship the dog home. A California trucker has volunteered to drive Thor back to San Marcos, 30 miles south of Austin.

I love this article on the dog being driven home, cudos to the driver of the truck! I love these dogs, big, small, darling. The dogs in my neighborhood are so well loved and well taken care of. Thank God for that! 2,000 miles is a long way for a lone dog to travel, probably his pads are worn out by now. GOD LOVE HIM!!!!! GOD DOES LOVE HIM TO SAVE HIM!!

Did GOD not say he would send a remembrance of him to watch over us? Look at the word (DOG), now look at it in another way.
