A 9-year-old Tennessee boy learned how gracious and humble President Donald Trump could be when he received the surprise of a lifetime.

Eli’sha Davies had heard not long after Inauguration Day, that President Trump had elected to take a massive salary cut. In fact, Trump decided that he only wanted to be paid $1 for his new job.

President Trump pledged to give his annual $400,000 salary to charities and other endeavours that need that money more…and he has made good on those promises!

That new information did not sit well with Davies, he felt very concerned for our leader.

Davis expressed “How is he going to eat or drink? Or you know, pay for his water bill or anything?”

Davies took it upon himself to make sure the President could pay for his bills–by sending the President $3 to help cover those costs.

Eli’sha had been saving up those $3 for a mandolin, he plays the instrument at a the church in his hometown of Crossville, Tennessee. But, Eli’sha decided that his money was meant for a greater calling, to go to President Donald Trump.

Earlier this week, Trump wrote the young boy back. He included in the package a letter, a photo and the $3.

In the letter, President Trump urged the young boy to make a difference and to think big, and dream even bigger. So, the young boy reinvested the money!
