Nancy Pelosi SLAMMED by… who!? (we weren’t expecting THAT!)

It’s been a tough year for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and it just got worse.

As the 2018 Congressional elections are quickly approaching, more and more Democrats are distancing themselves from Pelosi, out of fear that her failed leadership will damage their chances of an election victory.

Most recently is Paul Davis, Democratic nominee for governor of Kansas and candidate for Kansas’ 2nd Congressional District.

At his campaign kickoff event Tuesday, he had some harsh words for Pelosi and the job she’s doing in Washington.

“This is a broken Congress right now, and I think the leaders of both political parties bear responsibility for that and I think that we need new leadership in both political parties,” Davis said according to The Kansas City Star.

And Davis is far from the only Democrat that views Pelosi as a failure.

Democratic candidate for Georgia’s 7th Congressional District DavidKim, compared Pelosi to none other than Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“President Putin probably has a better approval rating than Nancy Pelosi.”

Ouch.

And unfortunately for Pelosi, it’s not too far off.

A Rasmussen poll in June showed that a whopping 58 percent of Democratic voters think the party is in need of new leadership.

Many Democrats have called for Pelosi’s resignation, most notably following the loss of Democratic hopeful Jon Ossoff in Georgia.

“We are overdue for a new generation of leadership,” said Ohio Democratic Congressional candidate Kenneth Harbaugh. “We have a remarkable opportunity in front of us, and it’s going to take new thinking and new leadership to capitalize on it.”

Democrats losing streak in four special elections has left Pelosi on the chopping block, but she doesn’t seem to be stepping down anytime soon.

She has called herself a “master legislator,” and her ego will likely keep her from voluntarily vacating her position.
