Islamic terror group surrenders to Trump

President Donald Trump may have just achieved one of the greatest foreign policy victories in modern American history.

Now let’s see if the left-wing media gives him credit for it!

Hamas terrorists are now living in terror themselves — and they’ve just released a first-ever statement that DROPS their longstanding call for the destruction of Jews.

This out-of-the-blue revision to the militant group’s charter divorces them from Muslim Brotherhood terrorists, claims they would accept a return to the 1967 borders, and even says they are not at war with the “Jewish people.”

It’s an ideological 180-degree turn from their anti-American, anti-Semitic radical Islamic terror vows they repeated time and again under President Barack Obama.

Unnamed “influential diplomatic figures” told The Guardian that Hamas and its supporters are desperately trying to tell Trump that “there is the potential for a peace settlement.”

Analyst Björn Brenner optimistically wrote in Haaretz that the revisions to the “infamously anti-Semitic and pro-violence founding document is unprecedented evidence that even an extremist organization is capable of change.”

Why is Hamas, which is listed as a “foreign terrorist organization” by the U.S. State Department, suddenly so interested in trying to seek peace?

It could be a ruse. Israel certainly believes so.

“Hamas is attempting to fool the world but it will not succeed,” David Keyes, a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, told the Reuters news agency. “They dig terror tunnels and have launched thousands upon thousands of missiles at Israeli civilians. This is the real Hamas.”

But it could also be something else entirely.

Given that this is the Holy Land, one might think they’ve had the fear of God put into them. But no doubt, their more immediate fear has to do with someone right here on Earth: Donald Trump.

Trump has vowed to end eight sad years of appeasing terrorists. He’s said America will honor its commitment to defend Israel against its attackers.

And he’s promised a no-bull, take-action approach to foreign policy and radical Islamic terror.

As his rapid strike on Syria last month showed the world, that wasn’t an empty promise.

He has no qualms about using U.S. military might on a moment’s notice when our interests and the interests of our allies are on the line.

Clearly, Hamas is downright petrified that they could be next on Trump’s hit list.

The move also comes just ahead of an official White House visit from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, the more moderate leader who has been on the opposite side of Hamas in an internal war among Palestinians.

He comes capable of making a deal. Hamas, with its focus until now on terror and destruction, is in danger of being shut out – and they could finally be recognizing that if they don’t come to the table now, they could be WIPED OUT, too.

Looks like the man who wrote “The Art of the Deal” might know a little something about making deals after all.

Amen.
