The University of California at Berkeley has suspended a course amid accusations it shared anti-Semitic viewpoints and was designed to indoctrinate students against Israel.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports Berkeley suspended “Palestine: A Settler Colonial Analysis” on Tuesday. The newspaper reports a syllabus for the one-credit course taught by an undergraduate student says it examines the history of Palestine “through the lens of settler colonialism.”
The suspension came on the same day 43 Jewish, civil rights and education advocacy groups sent a letter raising concerns about the course. The letter says the class encourages students to accept the idea “that Israel is an illegitimate settler colonial state” and that course readings have “a blatantly anti-Israel bias.”
The Chronicle reports Berkeley says the suspension is “pending completion of the mandated review and approval process.”

There are many readers who will disagree with me. Many of you will mock my statements and attack me personally, for what I am about to say. So be ti. The Jews will never leave the “land of Palestine” That territory was given to them by the God of all creation. Palestine was NEVER an Arab state. There are no established dates for its’ beginning. There is no declaration, legal documents, or natural rulers, to fortify their claim. As for leaders,Yasser Arafat, was born in Cairo, Egypt, not Palestine. In the ancient days, most residents of the middle east were nomadic tribes. When God gave the promised land to the Jews, it meant that they would stop wandering and establish their Hioly City of Jerusalem. Whenever the Jews fell off the religious wagon, God allowed mighty forces to come against them. The city was destroyed twice and the Temple reduced to ashes. The last time by the Romans, who named the land of Israel, Palestine. A rose by any other name is still a rose. No matter what it is called, it is still the ‘promised land’ of Israel. And God is not going to let the world take it away from them. So live with it.
You are Completely Biblically Correct…
Well, God promised me I could have right to learn the truth, wherever it leads. I can make my own decision if I have all of the facts. Why all the emotion every time someone mentions jews? “Me thinks you protest too much”
Yes, are correct. All anyone has to do is read the Bible.
After Massada and the Jewish Diaspora Rome fell, but the Eastern Roman Empire continued for 1000 years until the fall of Constantinople. According to Wikipaedia, at the end of Mohammed’s life, during which he exterminated the Christians of Mecca and Medina ( what’s new?) Gaza was attacked. It was defended by its Byzantine Christian Garrison and the then local Jewish inhabitants. The Church of St Peter in Gaza is 200 years older than the Arab invasion. They were overwhelmed in 632, and by 707 these Saudis, or rather their sons and grandsons, were invading Spain. The Djebel Tariq (hill of Tariq, after the leader of the invaders of Spain) has been corrupted to Gibraltar. All the Christian Dioceses, made famous by such as St Cyprian and St Augustine in North Africa, were destroyed.Today we have had Serbia bombed for 78 days to force it to give up its religious and political foundation province of Kosovo to serve the interests of its Muslim majority, infiltrated from Albania first by the Ottoman Turks then the Nazis and then the Communists. I believe the churches have been destroyed for the consolidation of the first Islamic state in Europe.
It is difficult to believe that God has any purpose in the destruction of Israel for the Caliphate, short of nuclear war which will take Iran with it.
There was not a single caucasian person in the territory of the US at that time. Send them all back to where they came from.
Recently many colleges and Universities have allowed their professors and faculty to openly bash Israel. And UC Berkeley is one of the most liberal of Universities. So, for Berkeley to make this statement by eliminating anti-Semitic college course is significant. Is one University starting to take a serious look at what is being taught on their campus? Hopefully this is a small ray of hope that things may be changing on college campuses.
Only those who fear the truth forbid discussion.
