Facebook’s changes to its “Trending Topics” section are being questioned after it featured a false report about Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly.
The story posted Saturday falsely claimed Kelly had been fired by Fox because she secretly supported Democrat Hillary Clinton.
Another topic trending was #McChicken, which took users to stories about a video of a man using the McDonald’s sandwich in a sex act.
Facebook announced Friday that an algorithm would select trending topics in place of humans but human editors would still screen them.
Menlo Park, California-based Facebook has apologized for the Kelly story, telling CBS News its editors mistakenly thought it was legitimate before realizing the error. Facebook says that the McChicken topic doesn’t violate its content policy and that any trending topic that reflects a real-world event may be featured.

MAIN STREET is absolutely right, these mindless games should be taken off from the smartphone and replace with useful and educational games in all fields, something to develop brain of young generation and their vision to solve . There are hundreds of ways to make good educational games, which will help to develop young brain in good way, not the games which are fight, killing and all sort of savagery with useless and empty subjects.
I’m glad I didn’t see this story before I found out it wasn’t true!!! I would have been very excited and it would have been such a let down to know it wasn’t true!! If fox news was smart they would get rid of her and maybe just maybe there viewership would go back up!!!
I can’t remember the young lady’s name at the time, but she was on Fox, then took a job with CNN. She was really full of herself too. Hopefully Kelly will take her lead. She would be great on the Discovery Channel, or maybe not.

We stopped watching Kelly…..she has become somewhat arrogant with an attitude she’s above all those she interviews…..not interesting. Don’t like her new look so much….too hard. All anchors on Fox need to have some filtering while watching them, but they are better than the bill/hillary clinton media on all the other news channels, including local broadcast ones. We are of our own mind and don’t need the clinton media telling us what to think…….
Just prior to the 2012 election, Sitting in the waiting room at my local garage conversation turned to politics FOXNews and Megan Kelly. Lady sitting next to me informed me she had worked with Megan Kelly at a law office. She then began to tell me, you haven’t seen the real Megan Kelly wait your views of her will change those words stuck in my head and now in 2016 have stop watching the Kelly file.
These three {Barr/Kelley/Wallace have for sure a clear view of Trump and it’s on going.
Fox in general doesn’t stand fast with fox on it’s daily programing.
