Former President Joe Biden announced Wednesday that he has written yet another book.
Even Democrats are tired of the shameless grift.
The 83-year-old former president posted a two-minute video trailer on X announcing “Promise Me, America” — a memoir about his presidency due out November 17, right after the midterms.
The release of books by Democratic Party leaders is heavily criticized as a legal trick to launder leftover donor cash into income. Jill Biden’s memoir was released in June and debuted at #1 on the New York Times list with a dagger symbol, indicating bulk purchases by political organizations.
Just two weeks later it had completely disappeared from the list.
“I’ve written a book about my time as President,” Biden said in the announcement. “It’s about the challenges we faced as a nation, about the decisions I made, and why I made them.”
The jokes started before he finished the sentence.
“I can’t believe the autopen wrote a whole book,” Daily Wire founder Ben Shapiro wroter.
“I would have bought this book, Joe, but I died in the ‘winter of death’ after you lost patience with me for not getting the COVID shot. Rest in Peace,” Clay Travis joked. “My man, you didn’t even sign the bills that were put on your desk; you expect us to believe that you wrote a book?”
Conservative activist Scott Presler asked: “Did you write it with an autopen?”
Biden has already cashed in a $10 million advance from publisher Little, Brown & Co., who presumably also provided the ghostwriter.
Democratic fundraiser Lindy Li blasted the move.
“Jill has him writing books that no one wants to read instead of fully enjoying his retirement,” Li told Fox News.
“They’re thinking, ‘Why can’t you just shut the f**k up?'” Li said. “Prior to me leaving the party, they wanted nothing to do with this guy. It was so bad that when, finally, Biden exited on July 21, there was no goodbye party other than a staffer one in the Rose Garden. There was nothing.”
Li had previously admitted that the DNC routinely confiscated top donors’ phones at White House events to prevent them from sharing concerns about Biden’s cognitive state.
