Liz Warren busted in Graham Platner rape cover-up

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and her Democratic allies were happy to defend disgraced senate candidate Graham Platner when he had a Nazi tattoo on his chest, and when he blamed rape victims in social media posts, and when he praised Hamas military tactics.

She called him “my kind of man” and wouldn’t back down.

Now that Platner has been credibly accused of violent rape, Warren withdrew her endorsement – and will hate this video.

Warren praised Platner at an April rally as someone who could “hose the corruption out of Washington.”

CNBC’s Sara Eisen confronted her directly right after, outlining Platner’s controversies and asking point-blank why he was Warren’s “kind of man.”

“So, as you rightly point out, he has apologized,” Warren said. “He’s out meeting with the people of Maine every single day so they can evaluate not who Graham Platner was, but who Graham Platner is today.”

“I want to be the party that stands up for hard-working people. I want to be the party that is transformative of an economy that right now is hip-deep in corruption and an economy that’s working for a handful of billionaires and multi-multi-multimillionaires and not working for much of anyone else. And that’s what Graham Platner wants to do. And I’m there to stand with him and to help in that fight.”

Take a look –

CNBC host calls out Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

Host: "You campaigned with Graham Platner… you said, 'He's your kind of man.' … This is a guy who had a chest tattoo with a N*zi symbol… It's a guy that reportedly wrote 'people concerned about r*pe should take some responsibility… pic.twitter.com/zcy7r7BqnW

On Monday, Politico published a detailed account from 41-year-old Jenny Racicot, who said Platner broke into her home in 2021 while “almost blackout drunk” and raped her.

Warren has since withdrawn her my “kind of man” endorsement.

“Now more than ever we need leaders in Washington who reflect our values,” Warren wrote. “There can be no tolerance for sexual assault. Working families are counting on Democrats to win the Senate election in Maine to unrig our economy and hold Donald Trump accountable. With so much at stake, the best path forward is for Graham Platner to step aside as the Democratic nominee and address these serious allegations outside this Senate race.”

In an 11-minute video posted on social media on Wednesday, Platner announced he was suspending his campaign. He blamed the “political establishment” for using the rape accusations against him.

“It’s not the false allegations though that have brought us to where we are,” Platner said. “It’s the fact that they are being used by the political establishment to put structural pressure on us.”

“We believe that for the movement to continue, it can’t be me,” he said. “And for that reason, we are suspending campaign operations.”

He denied the rape allegation as “false” and cast his exit as a betrayal by Democratic party insiders — not as accountability.

Maine Democrats now have until July 27 to select a replacement. The Democrats efforts to unseat Republican Sen. Susan Collins, a race which polls showed Platner once leading, is now in doubt.

Warren’s “kind of man” ended up being exactly who she was warned he was.

The hypocrisy is the point. They don't care about facts or objective truth. They care about feelings, and how to manipulate them to get power.
