We’re just days from the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
But that didn’t stop one of America’s most far-left states from embarrassing itself… and its citizens.
Rhode Island was one of the original 13 colonies, and played a key role in ensuring the writing and ratification of the Bill of Rights.
Now, it has become one of the most liberal states in America, with state leaders suffering from a serious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Rhode Island even refused to show up at the Great American State Fair on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., leaving the state’s booth completely abandoned.
The state — which repeatedly and shamelessly runs massive budget deficits — claimed it didn’t have the money. We’re not buying it — but judge for yourself.
This is Rhode Island’s contribution to America’s 250th birthday – an empty booth at the National Mall.
The state that demanded a Bill of Rights couldn’t show up to celebrate. Other states found a way, ours didn’t. pic.twitter.com/uwCoYxPMnX
