JD Vance just dropped Nixon-Watergate bombshell (Deep State plot)

Vice President JD Vance dropped a bombshell revelation on the Watergate scandal that ultimately sunk former President Richard Nixon’s administration.

Vance told an audience at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library that Watergate was part of the Deep State’s work against Nixon, and it wouldn’t survive a single news cycle in today’s political environment.

The forces that brought Nixon down are the same ones that have spent years trying to take down President Donald Trump, Vance claimed.

“If Watergate happened tomorrow, it would be like a 12-hour news story. The idea that it would have taken down a presidency is crazy,” Vance told the crowd at the Nixon library, where he was promoting his new book, “Communion.”

Vance said he had “always liked” Nixon and claimed the 37th president’s legacy is “enjoying a bit of a renaissance.”

“If you look at the story of how the deep state took down Richard Nixon, it’s not all that different from what the same groups of people, the same institutions tried to do to Donald Trump in the first Trump administration,” Vance said.

“Young senator, vice president, writes some bestselling books, is hated by the media,” Vance said. “It kind of sounds like JD Vance.”

The mainstream media went berserk over Vance’s claims. MS NOW’s “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough claimed that FBI, CIA, and Washington insiders Nixon used were themselves the very definition of a “deep state” operating at Nixon’s own direction, not against him.

Watergate began with a 1972 break-in at Democratic National Committee headquarters and ultimately ended with Nixon’s resignation in 1974 to avoid near-certain impeachment.

Vance said Nixon’s downfall was a cautionary tale about institutional overreach against a sitting president.

The vice president’s book tour stop at the Nixon Library comes as Vance continues to build a national profile ahead of a widely expected 2028 presidential run.

Vance is widely seen as the clear successor to Trump as the head of the America First political movement.
