Out of revenge for President Donald Trump reversing the damage caused by the Obama-Biden administrations’ policies, Barack Obama has come up with a new way to make Americans pay for his presidency for years to come.
The Obama Presidential Library is set to open Friday. The hideous $850 million abomination, built in Jackson Park on the south side of Chicago, could have Americans in debt for a very long time.
It all begins with another Obama broken promise.
When Obama approached Chicago officials about creating his presidential library in his adopted hometown, they agreed to a sweet lease deal: The Obama Foundation would get a 99-year lease over 19.3 acres of prime real city real estate for the low, low price of just $10… but there was one important condition.
The Obamas promised, if they got the sweetheart deal, they would establish a reserve fund worth hundreds of millions of dollars guarantee that if anything went wrong with the Obamas’ vanity building, Chicago taxpayers aren’t stuck footing the bill.
As usual, Obama talked big and didn’t deliver.
A 2020 Obama Foundation report told donors it planned to raise $470 million to “sustain Obama Foundation activities and the operations of the OPC for generations to come.”
But in 2021, they deposited $1 million in a bank account and haven’t added a single dollar since then.
As it stands, if the Obama Presidential Library goes into the red, taxpayers are left holding the bag. Even a decade after Barack Obama left office, he’s coming up with new ways to bankrupt Americans for his personal gain.
Some of the people who pay could be the most vulnerable people in America. Fox News reported that the Obama Foundation has stiffed contractors, refusing to pay for services rendered.
Obama’s reneging on payment put Michael Owen of Adamson Plumbing into “a hole that no subcontractor, small business can survive,” said Owen. He claims Obama owes his firm $4 million.
What’s more, Obama made an enormous point of making sure at least 50 percent of the vendors were minority contractors. America’s first black president’s financial decisions could be bankrupting black businesses.
If it’s any solace, they won’t be alone. All Americans are paying for the bloated Obamanation opening in Chicago this weekend.
The Obama Presidential Library was originally supposed to cost $300 million, but costs exploded to at least $850 million. Construction costs alone “have likely climbed past the $1 billion mark,” reported Fox News.
The drag concrete building will give Chicago a perpetual eyesore. Instead of a well-constructed exterior, the outside of the building is plastered with words from Obama’s speeches arranged in an unreadable manner.
“It’s like a Klingon prison,” said one critic.
The backlash has been so great that even the Associated Press had to admit, “Obama’s presidential library ripped as ‘ugly waste of taxpayer resources’ by Chicagoans.”
And Obama can’t blame anyone else for the condition of his monument. The president was very, very hands on with the design,” said the building’s architect, Billie Tsien.
Like the Obamas, the Obama Presidential Library is ugly inside and out. The Democratic Party’s official social media account posted pictures of the Obamas attending the unveiling of the first-ever commissioned portrait of the Obama family together…and they didn’t look happy.
“We’re not sure why the big reveal was posted from the X account of the Democrats,” said the conservative website Twitchy. But the easiest answer is that, for once, they agree with most Americans: They hate what they see.
The painting puts Michelle Obama front and center. Barack Obama, who served two terms as president—three, if you count the Biden administration—sits off to the side, with his entire body language pointing toward her.
Several critics made it known they also think the double portrait, executed by Njideka Akunyili Crosby, is also ugly as sin..and the Obamas may agree.
Even the official pictures of them skulking around in front of the painting in the lobby of the new Obama Presidential Library seem to show them upset. Both Obamas look like sourpusses—arms crossed, frowning, scowling, and looking generally displeased with the artwork meant to immortalize them.
“They look thrilled,” wrote one online commentator.
Some say it’s not even a presidential library, at least, not in the traditional sense.

Obama’s “presidential records are in the National Archives in Maryland,” writes Becky Noble at the conservative RedState.com. “It is merely a place where you can pay $30 bucks to get in and be lectured to about how the only time America didn’t suck was when Obama was president.”
If it’s not a presidential library, it could well be a money-laundering operation.
As The Horn told you, Michelle Obama has used the organization to hand out enormous salaries to her best friends, closest advisors, and most talentless cronies. Her closest friend, Valerie Jarrett, “earns” $740,000 a year as foundation CEO, while former Michelle Obama aides Tina Tchen and Anne Flipic each make $400,000 annually and Obama family pal Michael Strautmanis pulls in a cool $300,000.
All this seems to come at the expense of Black contractors and the poor.
We told you eight years ago that community activists—the kind Obama used to be—have protested that, for this park to be built, Obama had to decimate public parks that the city’s enormous poverty-stricken population use as free recreation. His decision seems so terrible that Obama’s former employer, the woke University of Chicago which is located just next door, admitted it was “socially regressive.”
The Obama Foundation says there’s nothing to these allegations and that it’s has fulfilled all legal requirements of its lease, because the contract didn’t actually specify how much money had to be in the reserve fund. They fact that they promised almost half-a-billion dollars and delivered $1 million is the city’s problem—especially if it flops, as it likely will.
Barack Obama has spent 18 years proving that he hates America. Leaving taxpayers with the bill for his presidential library may be his final revenge.
