Federal prosecutors in Minnesota indicted 15 members of two Minneapolis-based Antifa groups Tuesday. They have been charged with conspiring to violently oppose federal immigration enforcement.
Within hours, leftist supporters attempted to storm the courthouse where the defendants were making their first appearances.
U.S. Attorney for Minnesota Daniel Rosen announced the sweeping indictment at a press conference Tuesday, charging 15 members and associates of Direct Action Minnesota, known by the acronym DAMN, and its subgroup Black Cat Workers Collective with conspiracy to impede or injure federal officers.
Many of the defendants face additional counts including solicitation to commit a crime of violence, interstate threats, interstate stalking, assault on a federal officer, and destruction of government property.
Prosecutors say the groups infiltrated peaceful protests at the Whipple federal building in Minneapolis on January 23 and March 1 and set up blockades to prevent federal officers from carrying out immigration enforcement operations during Trump’s Operation Metro Surge.
The Whipple building houses the regional ICE field office and an immigration detention center.
“For those who choose to threaten or harm federal officers, the Department of Justice will hold you accountable,” Rosen said. “The direct actions alleged in the indictment are un-American. And they will be met with swift justice.”
Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Michael McCarthy said the investigation found “extensive planning, material support and coordinated attacks against federal personnel and facilities.”
The DOJ press release provided chilling details about how far the alleged conspiracy extended. DAMN members ran what they called an “Anarchist Speaking Tour” in April 2026, where they traveled to Chicago, Ann Arbor, and Seattle to train other leftist groups across the country in how to “forcibly obstruct, prevent, delay, hinder, and impede federal immigration enforcement operations.”
In Ann Arbor, defendant Callum Robinet opened the training by telling participants flatly it was about anarchy.
“So this is an anarchist speaking tour. We’re all anarchists,” he said, according to the DOJ indictment.
Among the most alarming evidence: a video posted by defendant Kyle Wagner, 37, on his Instagram
The announcement triggered a riot outside the Warren E. Burger Federal Building in St. Paul, where the defendants were scheduled to make their first court appearances at 2 p.m.
Dozens of violent activists converged on the courthouse, chanting “Drop the charges, drop them now.” Some tried to squeeze inside to “pack the court.” When the courtroom filled to capacity, the remaining crowd attempted to storm the courthouse and fought with police officers.

Haven’t seen this in the mainstream media?
Are you really surprised?
The Trump administration formally designated antifa as a domestic terrorist organization by executive order in September 2025.
