A disturbing new report reveals the secret reason Democrats have tried to shut down the celebration of America’s 250th birthday, which is less than a month away.
Democrats want to cancel America’s anniversary, because Democrats want to cancel America.
This isn’t simply a political talking point. There’s hard data that proves it. A new poll shows a majority of registered Democrats actually want to flee our country altogether.
“Is there any other country on Earth you would rather live in than the United States today?” pollsters asked 1,000 Americans between April 30 and May 4.
An incredible 55 percent of Democrats responded “Yes,” according to an Elon University/YouGov America 250 National Survey.
That makes liberals a political outlier. Just over one in three independents agreed (38 percent)—and the number is much, much lower for Republicans.
Democrats are 550 percent more likely than Republicans to want to go, or return, to another country.
When you tell Democrats they should love America or leave it, they’d rather leave it. No wonder liberals are so hostile to the idea of putting “America First”!
Liberals’ desire to become an expatriate is 20 points higher than the average American, the poll found. Only 35 percent of all Americans would rather live somewhere else—whch is not bad, since 28 percent of the total U.S. population consists of immigrants and their (often anchor baby) children, according to the pro-amnesty Migration Policy Institute.
Democrats always scream that no one should ever question their patriotism, but how can we respond?
“This is nuts,” said Senator Eric Schmitt, R-Mo.
Some conservatives wanted to help the leftists find the exists. Mike Davis, the founder of the Article III Project, said he would be glad to buy any Democrat a one-way ticket out of the country and give them six months’ living expenses, provided they “renounce their American citizenship. And never come back.”
But other findings of the poll show this is part of a disturbing trend in Democratic thought—and it’s no laughing matter.

The shocking number of left-wingers who would rather not be Americans falls in line with Democrats’ overall anti-American ideology.
The poll revealed that only a minority (48 percent) of Democrats said they felt very proud or somewhat proud to be an American. Democrats were less than half as likely as the average American to say they feel “proud” of America’s semiquincentennial.
On the other hand, virtually every single Republican (95 percent) felt pride over his U.S. citizenship—as did seven out of every 10 Americans (68 percent).
The poll isn’t exactly the first time liberals have said they despise the United States. Michelle Obama told the crowd of a Wisconsin campaign in 2008, “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country.”
“Poll after poll, study after study, show that Democrats hate America…even when their party is in power,” wrote one online commentator. “These are not the kinds of people who should be given any power. It’s a movement built on hatred, envy, and destruction.”
Revulsion of their country and its elected leader explains why Democrats have done so much to cancel next month’s America 250 celebration.
Rep. Jared Huffman said Trump’s patriotic celebration would “present an alternate reality” of America.
“The celebration of America’s 250th anniversary is going to display great patriotism in our nation’s capital and throughout the country,” said White House spokesman Davis Ingle. “President Trump’s bold vision will be imprinted upon the fabric of America and be felt by generations to come.”
That was too much for the Left to bear. Democrats even ginned up an investigation of the committee planning the celebrations, Freedom 250.
After listening to Democrats diss the United States through a three-hour-long hearing of a subcommittee of the House Committee on Natural Resources in February, North Carolina Republican Rep. Addison McDowell said, “If you didn’t know any better, you might believe from their remarks that the United States is not the greatest experiment in human history, but an ongoing crime scene.”
When Democrats pull out of celebrations of our country, it “looks like you are just what people say about you: You don’t really love America. It looks like you think that (hating) Trump is more important than the country itself,” said Bill Maher of HBO’s Real Time. “Wouldn’t it have been better to play this gig?…Can’t we all just celebrate America itself and leave Trump out of it?”
Of course, it’s not just leftists who want to abandon their country, but it’s especially Democrats.
Women are significantly more likely than men to want to live in another country (42 percent to 27 percent). The youngest voters are 14 points more likely to want to flee their homeland than senior citizens. And almost half of those who identify with an ethnicity other than black, white, or Hispanic—think Chinese or Indian immigrants, possibly here on H1-B visas—want to go somewhere else.
The rate is also slightly higher among those with a four-year college “education” than those who didn’t receive the full bachelor in brainwashing (39 percent to 33 percent).
But even won the rare occasions that Democrats follow through with their threats, they just can’t stay away from the USA.

After publicly stomping out of the country because of President Trump’s election in 2024, bona fide Trump-hater Rosie O’Donnell returned to America from “migrant”-plagued Ireland this year.
“I was recently home for two weeks, and I did not really tell anyone,” O’Donnell admitted to Chris Cuomo.
Still, O’Donnell couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a shot at her country. “The energy that I felt while in the United States was — if I could use the most simple word I can think of — it was scary,” she said.
“I don’t regret leaving at all,” she crowed.
Americans don’t regret her departure, either. But we should be worried for our country that so many voters loathe and revile the United States and everything she stands for. And now that the anti-American extremists have identified themselves, we should vote accordingly.
