First Lady Melania Trump released the trailer Wednesday for “MELANIA,” a documentary film set to hit theaters worldwide on January 30, 2026.
The 104-minute film offers an “unprecedented behind-the-scenes look” at the 20 days leading up to President Donald Trump’s second inauguration on January 20, 2025.
“Everyone wants to know, so here it is,” the first lady said in the trailer.
It opens with Trump in the U.S. Capitol rotunda ahead of her husband’s inauguration.
“Here we go again,” she says, turning to the camera.
The documentary shows Trump orchestrating inauguration plans, navigating the White House transition, and reentering public life with her family. The trailer features footage from Trump Tower, Mar-a-Lago, and the White House, including never-before-seen moments with President Donald Trump and their son Barron Trump.
In one scene, Trump coaches her husband as he rehearses a speech.
“My proudest legacy will be that of peacemaker,” President Trump says. The first lady interrupts: “Peacemaker and unifier.”
“For the first time, global audiences are invited into theaters to witness this pivotal chapter unfold—a private, unfiltered look as I navigate family, business, and philanthropy on my remarkable journey to becoming first lady of the United States of America,” Melania Trump told Fox News.
The story “has never been told, and because the subject matter is historically consequential, it was imperative for me to produce a film of the highest cinematic standard, suitable exclusively in theaters worldwide,” she said.
The documentary is directed by Brett Ratner and distributed by Amazon MGM Studios. Amazon reportedly paid $40 million for exclusive licensing rights for the theatrical and streaming release.
