According to multiple reports, in exchange, prosecutors dismissed the more serious weapon possession charge; Cutler agreed to forfeit the firearm found in his vehicle.

In addition to the jail time, the plea deal includes a $350 fine, one year of unsupervised probation, completion of a DUI safety course, random drug testing, and a one-year revocation of his Tennessee driver’s license.

He is scheduled to begin serving his jail sentence around September 29, 2025.

Cutler’s charges stem from an incident on October 17, 2024, in Franklin, Tennessee, where Cutler rear-ended another vehicle.

At the scene, officers observed signs of intoxication—slurred speech and refusal to perform sobriety tests—and ultimately obtained his blood sample under warrant. Inside his truck, police found two firearms, one being a loaded pistol.

Court documents also noted that Cutler had attempted to offer the other driver $2,000 to avoid calling the police and initially attempted to flee.

Cutler played 12 years in the NFL, playing for the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, and Miami Dolphins, and threw for over 35,000 passing yards and 227 touchdowns.
