One of the world’s biggest lifestyle magazines is ready to publish a major photoshoot of First Lady Melania Trump.

And the magazine’s employees are throwing an absolute fit of the news.

According to reports, Vanity Fair is reportedly in discussions to feature Melania Trump on its cover as part of a shift toward a more centrist editorial stance following the 2024 election.

Vanity Fair’s new editor-in-chief Mark Guiducci’s pitched the news that he’s considering such a move despite the magazine’s previous anti-Trump leadership that refused to feature her during her first term as First Lady.

Despite being a former model, Melania was excluded from both Vanity Fair and Vogue, both owned by Condé Nast, during Trump’s first administration.

Vogue featured former first lady Michelle Obama three separate times and also featured Jill Biden.

Obama appeared on 30 American magazine covers between 2009 and 2017. During President Trump’s first term, Melania appeared on zero American covers.

Despite her past success, Melania only graced one magazine cover during her first term in the White House – Vanity Fair Mexico in February of 2017.

Guiducci, has been hinting to people that “he’s potentially interested in putting Melania Trump on the cover,” a move insiders say could “likely to repel magazine’s liberal readers.”

Now reports say Guiducci is receiving considerable pushback not only from liberal readers but also from members of his own editorial team.

A mid-tier editor reportedly told The Daily Mail that they and half their staff “will walk out the motherf***ing door” if they dare to put Melania on the cover.

“We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife; we’re just not going to do it. We’re going to stand for what’s right,” that editor continued.

“If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s, I’ll do it. If [Guiducci] puts Melania on the cover, half of the editorial staff will walk out, I guarantee it.”

According to reports, global editorial director, Mark Guiducci, floated the idea.

To her credit, Melania Trump has not stooped to being upset about not being featured in previous magazines.

“Look, I’ve been there on the covers — on the cover of Vogue, on the covers of many magazines before … We have so many other important things to do than to be on the cover of any magazine,” she told Fox News.

“I think that life would not change for anybody if I’m on the cover.”

During his second stint as first lady, Melania has focused her efforts on more important matters.

Even today, Melania Trump announced the formation of the Presidential Artificial Intelligence (AI) Challenge.

It is a program established through an executive order signed by the president that “shall encourage and highlight student and educator achievements in AI, promote wide geographic adoption of technological advancement, and foster collaboration between government, academia, philanthropy, and industry to address national challenges with AI solutions.”

“The Presidential AI Challenge will be the first step in preparing our next generation with a base understanding of this important new technology,” she said. “In just a few short years, artificial intelligence will be the engine driving every business sector across our economy. It is important America leads the rest of the world.”

She also recently championed the recently signed “Take It Down Act” — a law criminalizing the spread of nonconsensual intimate imagery, including AI-generated deepfakes and revenge porn.
