An insane viral video from a Canadian golf course shows why picking a fight with a former NHL player is never a good idea, especially if you’re too drunk to tee up your ball.
The confrontation began when a group of golfers was allegedly taking too long to complete their round, frustrating the group behind them.
Slow play is a common source of tension on golf courses, but this situation escalated when one golfer appeared so intoxicated he couldn’t play.
“You can’t even stand up to tee your ball up, man,” one person can be heard saying in the video after the confrontation had already begun.
The man in a blue-patterned shirt decided to escalate things by picking a fight with the largest member of the group urging them to hurry.
The man was seen yelling and clapping his hands to pump himself up before charging — but he picked the wrong target, the video shows.
It turned out to be former NHL center Nick Tarnasky, who played over 200 games in the NHL with stints for the Panthers, Predators, and Lightning.
The former NHL player proceeded to throw his opponent into a nearby pond. The reportedly drunk golfer kept coming back for more… and Tarnasky is heard yelling, “Bang! Bang!” as he delivered devastating blows.
Social media users were quickly captivated by the insane footage, which quickly went viral.
“The most hockey fight I’ve ever seen on the golf course,” one social media user said.
