Legendary golfer Tiger Woods still knows how to have fun, even if he’s not playing golf.
And that’s exactly what Woods did today, dropping a major announcement on social media that had his fans jumping for joy.
Until they realized today is April Fools’ Day.
Today Woods shared a post explaining that his recently ruptured Achilles had healed in record time and that he would be playing in next week’s Masters.
The story initially seemed legit considering Woods has recovered from multiple injuries and has the best medical treatment money can buy.
And he did make his post on social media seem somewhat real.
I can’t believe I am saying this, but a few weeks after rupturing my left Achilles, the sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber plus the explosive lifts my doctors and trainers have me ready to play the Masters next week! Can’t wait! See y’all on the course.

However, Woods didn’t let the post simmer for very long.
Just minutes later, he let the world know that it was just an April Fools’ Day joke.

His innocent prank came just about a week after he confirmed the rumors that he was dating Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.
Woods’ update on his love life included one of the wildest captions imaginable about love being in the air while also including a photo of him staring directly into the sun — something lifelong fans and followers of Woods never thought he would do.
