Hudson Meek, a 16-year-old actor known for his role in “Baby Driver,” died after falling from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, authorities confirmed.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office reported Meek was injured December 19 in the Birmingham suburb. The Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating the incident but has not issued public statements.
Meek was best known for his role as the younger version of Ansel Elgort’s character in the 2017 Academy Award-nominated “Baby Driver.” His career began with 2014’s “The Santa Con,” followed by “90 Minutes in Heaven” alongside Hayden Christensen. His final role was in the 2024 film “The School Duel.”
A sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, Meek was active in student government, Honor Choir, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
His obituary noted his passion for Christian faith, participating in Bible study, youth retreats, and mission trips across multiple churches.
“His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met,” read a post on his Instagram page.
