For years, Democrats tried to bully Donald Trump into turning a blind eye to possible election fraud by promising he would “accept the outcome of the election.”
But now, some Democrats are threatening to secede from the union rather than accept his decisive victory.
One Democratic elected official has called for a new scheme to take a bloc of deep-blue, ultra-liberal states out of the Union and petition to become the newest province of Canada.
The Democrats, who spent the last election warning that Donald Trump poses “a fundamental threat to the Constitution,” want to rip up the Constitution and join a country that has no First Amendment.
They’re dead serious about leaving the country… and the person leading the charge is no minor figure, either.
New York State Senator Liz Krueger — a Democrat, of course — chairs the powerful Senate Finance Committee.
“I thought New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, would combine and be a great new province as the southeast province of Canada,” Kreuger told City and State New York.
Although she said she “hadn’t gotten agreement from other states yet,” she thought they would make a natural fit with the Canadian government…and some Canadians agree. “I propose that this could be an option, and I got back some unofficial responses and heard this is probably sellable in Ottawa,” the capital city of Canada.
Justin Trudeau and his government—which debanked and arrested Canadian truck drivers who protested his Orwellian COVID lockdowns—would undoubtedly welcome Bernie Sanders voters with open arms.
“Basically everybody in these states are progressive Democrats. We would fit in pretty well with the political philosophy of at least most of the Canadian elected officials,” said Krueger.
Like much Democratic rhetoric, that’s false in multiple ways.
First of all, four out of 10 New Yorkers are on the Trump train.
President Donald Trump won 44 percent of the vote in New York state—the highest since George H.W. Bush got almost 48 percent in his 1988 landslide win.
Second of all, it looks like Canada is about to change its political colors, too.
At least one new poll shows tough-talking Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre set to banish Justin Trudeau’s Liberals and win the biggest landslide victory in Canadian history.

Kreuger has tried her best to deflect the argument, saying it was all a “joke, of course”…but adding that “it’s not unreasonable to think outside of the box.”
“While perhaps tempting for many, State Sen. Liz Krueger is not the first to ‘think outside of the box,” said legal scholar Jonathan Turley of George Washington University and a commentator on Fox News.
Beneath his words, Turley posted a picture of Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendering at Appomattox Court House.

Another poster commented, “this is what treason and insurrection actually is.”
New York State Senator Liz Krueger is now calling for the state to withhold its $360 billion tax revenue, secede from the United States, and join Canada to escape Trump's presidency.

What’s going on here? Krueuger, who oversees New York’s strapped finances, is really thinking about the cash box: The Trump administration has said it will cut off taxpayer funding to left-wing states that flout federal law.
Incoming Border Czar Tom Homan has promised to push for Trump’s policy of withholding all federal aid to sanctuary states or cities, which refuse to turn over criminal aliens to federal authorities for deportation.
“That’s going to happen. I guarantee you,” said Homan.
New York gets $85 billion from Washington — a major chunk of its $239 billion budget—and Democrats don’t want the gravy train to end.
“We’re talking a lot of money,” Kreuger told the media. “We’re talking money we couldn’t possibly replace unless we started sending the feds a lot less money.”
If Albany were to leave the United States, it would take its annual IRS revenue of about $362 billion in tax dollars with it.
She isn’t actually angling for secession; she thinks she’s playing The Art of the Deal: She wants to leverage the state’s tax contribution to preserve its sanctuary city policy and keep U.S. taxpayer funds flowing to the Big Apple.
“What is actually deadly serious is the threat from Donald Trump to take away tens of billions of dollars in federal money from New York and other states that didn’t support him in the election,” said Kreuger.
“Though obviously New York is not going to become part of Canada, we will need to think outside the box to try to protect New Yorkers from Trump’s vindictive and destructive policies.”
Has she considered following the law?
