President Joe Biden insulted Iowa voters on camera when asked about former President Donald Trump’s victory in the first 2024 Republican presidential nomination contest.
Biden said their votes mean nothing.
What does “Iowa mean to you, in your re-election race?” Biden was asked outside the White House on Thursday.
“I don’t think Iowa means anything,” Biden replied. “President Trump got 50-some thousand votes, the lowest number of votes that anybody that has won got.”
Trump received 56,000+ votes — more than any winner in an Iowa caucus ever.
“Ya know, this idea that it has been a runaway… [Trump] can characterize it any way he wants,” Biden said in the insulting video.

Biden’s comments were in contrast to Vice President Kamala Harris, who admitted this week that she is “scared as heck” that Trump will oust the Biden administration.
“I am scared as heck! Which is why I’m traveling our country. You know, there’s an old saying that there are only two ways to run for office: Either without an opponent, or scared. So on all of those points, yes, we should all be scared,” Harris said.
“We’ve got to earn reelection. There is no question,” she said. “We’ve got to be on the road.”
