Talk about being caught with your pants down…
Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy was caught on a hot mic during an intimate moment this weekend — the latest stumble in his struggling campaign.
Ramaswamy is polling at just 4 percent nationally. His campaign is far behind rivals Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and is nearly 50 points behind the leading candidate, former President Donald Trump.
With just weeks to go until voters in Iowa begin assigning delegates, Ramaswamy needs to make up ground quickly.
One way Ramaswamy has tried to reach voters is through more unconventional spaces — like a recent appearance during a live X Spaces chat with billionaire Elon Musk, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, and several others in front of a crowd of 2.3 million listeners.
But he was caught using the bathroom on a hot mic during the talk after forgetting to mute his phone’s microphone while taking a break — a slip-up that certainly won’t help his struggling campaign.
“I’m super pro-human, and that means both humans in America and everywhere else,” Musk is heard saying after Vivek excuses himself from the conversation.
“Someone is peeing. Someone has their phone open in the bathroom,” interrupts Jones.
“Vivek, that’s your phone Vivek. I’m not able to mute you,” host Mario Nawfal says.
“Sorry about that!” an embarrassed Ramaswamy said when he realized he was on.
“I hope you feel better now,” Musk said.
“I feel great. Sorry about that guys,” Ramaswamy replied while laughing.
Not a big deal? Or just enough to end Ramaswamy’s struggling campaign?
