As the 2024 election approaches, polls are showing a grim reality for Joe Biden’s Democratic Party—but Democrats don’t want to rely on American votes. They’re pushing for illegal immigrants to be able to vote.
Shocking new documents obtained by a member of Congress prove that Democrats are already giving illegal immigrants some information on voter registration.
The new documents, detailing a blow to voter integrity, combine a disregard for our nation’s principles with a healthy dose of spite.
This week, 12,000 migrants reportedly showed up to the border in a single day. Illegal border crossings under Joe Biden have repeatedly broken historic records.
All told, the number of border crossings on the Biden administration’s watch totals an estimated 10 million people in less than four years—with the largest influx coming across our southern border with Mexico.
One of the most successful policies Republicans have enacted in years has been sending as many migrants as possible to sanctuary cities, like Chicago, Martha’s Vineyard, and the District of Columbia.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, has complained for months about the pressures of providing illegals with sanctuary in a sanctuary city—going so far as to say the non-stop importation of illegal immigrants “will destroy New York City.”
But now he thinks he’s hit on a smart way to fight back: He’s giving illegal immigrants information on voting.
The New York City charter says that agencies contracting with the city “shall provide and distribute voter registration forms to all persons.”
Now, a new contract between the city and Homes for the Homeless wants to go even further.
“The Contractor should be prepared to provide forms written in Spanish or Chinese, and shall obtain a sufficient supply of such forms from the City,” says the form, obtained by a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from U.S. Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., and provided exclusively to Breitbart News.
“We believe this is the smoking gun that proves what we’ve been saying all along — that the city intends to register non-citizens to vote,” Malliotakis told the media.
With all due respect to the congresswoman, New York City officials have already told us their intent.
In December 2021, New York City voters approved a measure to give green card holders the right to vote in local elections, with the full support of Mayor-elect Adams. Green card holders are “permanent residents,” not citizens.
A judge struck down the controversial measure six months later, in June 2022—but this contract seems to show that Adams, who’s already in deep political and legal trouble, hasn’t stopped pushing for non-citizens to vote.
“Noncitizen voting is not the law of the City of New York, and no one should be trying to register noncitizens to vote,” said New York City Councilman David Carr, R-Staten Island.
He’s not alone. In January, the Democrat-controlled state of Colorado admitted it mailed postcards with voting registration information to 31,093 non-citizens.
Election officials in Pennsylvania verified in 2017 that as many as 544 noncitizen immigrants had not only been registered, but had actually voted since the year 2000.
Even reliably Democratic voters know what’s going on. Democrats are signing up a group of indigent aliens, who rely on welfare for survival and who hope Democrats will grant them the benefits of citizenship, including the right to vote in presidential elections.
Registering non-citizens to vote in U.S. elections could shake the pillars of our nation to their very foundations.
For once, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives isn’t just complaining; it’s doing something about it.
On Thursday, the House Administration Committee passed the Protecting American Voters Act (H. R. 3162).
The bill amends the National Voter Registration Act of 1993, commonly called the “Motor Voter Act,” which allows Americans an opportunity to register to vote whenever they renew a driver’s license.
But 16 states let illegal aliens get a driver’s license.
The Protecting American Voters Act would let election officials check first “to verify that an applicant for voter registration in elections for Federal office held in the State or a registrant on the official list of eligible voters in elections for Federal office held in the State is a citizen of the United States.”
It also allows them to check on voters who are already registered to vote, to assure they are citizens in good standing of the United States of America. Plus, the federal government would have to turn that information over to the states for free.
“Public confidence in the electoral process is an unquestionable cornerstone of any representative government. We will not keep this Republic if we cannot provide our fellow citizens reason to believe their votes matter and our elections are secure,” said Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas. “That’s why I introduced the Protecting American Voters Act, which ensures that states have access to the data needed to ensure that only U.S. citizens are voting in our elections.”
Roy hopes his fellow representatives are ready to roll toward success and electoral integrity.
“I’m grateful…and look forward to its passage on the floor,” said Roy.
That’s a great start, but the bill doesn’t go far enough.
Shouldn’t election officials be required to make sure that they’re giving registration information only to U.S. citizens?
Shouldn’t election officials be required to remove all non-citizens from the voter rolls before any election?
Removing noncitizens from the voter rolls would be a great first step—to removing all illegal aliens from our country.
