Secured? Border agents count 15% more suspected terrorists than last month

No matter what Biden’s border officials may say, readers of The Horn have known the southern border is far from “secured.” A new report shows just how deadly the situation has become

The number of people on the terrorist watchlist that border officials have encountered has increased 15 percent in the last month alone—the biggest jump in years.

Figures from the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) show that in the fiscal year to date, officials met a total of 591 people whose names pinged in the Terrorist Screening Dataset (TSDS). That’s up from 478 in all of last year.

The make things more concerning, most of those possible terrorists strolled into the country through legal ports of entry. The number of possible terrorists who came through our border’s legal entryways skyrocketed from 382 to 442, the largest increase since the 2020 fiscal year.

The report shows the problem isn’t restricted to just one part of the country.

Interestingly, only 70 of those people crossed through a legal entryway at the southern border; 372 people on the terror watchlist came through legal entries along our northern border with Canada.

Aside from that, another 149 terror-tied illegals tried to come into America in between ports of entry: 146 along the Mexican border and three near Canada. That’s the largest amount busted trying to sneak in through unmarked access roads, fields, and forests for as far back as the CBP is publishing data.

That’s way, way up from the 357 suspected terrorists caught by border agents in fiscal year 2018—the first full year of the Trump administration.

“Terrorists understand fully that the border is a point of weakness for our country,” Rep. Mike Rogers of Alabama, who is chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, told Just The News. “Biden’s open border policy is a dangerous vulnerability for our national security, and these numbers only prove that terrorists are exploiting that weakness.”

At least one of these people was released into the U.S. interior. Originally, the FBI said the person’s inclusion in the terrorist watchlist was ” “inconclusive”—so they let him go. Four days later, he tried to board an airplane, when the TSA found that this person belonged on the list and is a possible danger.

Thanks to the broken system, the accused terrorist had two weeks to run wild in the U.S. interior before he got arrested.

In all, CBP officials announced that they encountered 183,503 migrants at the southern border in July.

Not all illegal aliens are coming from Mexico or Central America. The number of illegals from China encountered by U.S. border officials China has increased an unbelievable 826 percent since last year. Border agents encountered 17,894 Chinese citizens at the southwest border so far this year, which began last October 1. That’s compared to only 2,176 Chinese citizens during the entire 2022 fiscal year—nearly 16,000 more aliens possibly owing their allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party.

These migrants from China may say they are being persecuted by the CCP, like refugees. As a result, Chinese citizens have “high rates of admission into the U.S. once they reach the border,” reports MRCTV.org.

That’s setting off alarm bells with the people, if not the government. A recent poll found that 47 percent of Americans are “very concerned” about the wide-open, overrun U.S. border—and 82 percent are at least somewhat concerned.

Voters ranked immigration the third most important issue in The Center Square‘s Voters’ Voice Poll released Sunday. Immigration was behind only inflation/the economy and crime. None of the three top issues favor Democrats.

Rather than fix the problem, Joe Biden is reportedly selling off pieces of Donald Trump’s border wall in order to stop Republican efforts to rebuild it.

Like a typical government effort, it lost money.

“Selling hundreds of millions of dollars worth of border wall materials at a loss shows Joe Biden’s priorities,” said Senator Tom Cotton, R-Ark. “This administration would rather taxpayers foot the bill instead of securing our southern border from drugs and terrorists.”

“This sale is a wasteful and ludicrous decision by the Biden administration that only serves as further proof they have no shame,” said Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss.

“The pennies made from selling the border wall will not be enough to pay the families who suffer from a criminal act committed by someone who crossed our open borders during the Biden administration,”  said Senator James Lankford, R-Okla.

If the border isn’t sealed soon, that crime may be another 9/11.
