Last month, President Joe Biden was seen jogging to Marine One after a physical exam, an attempt to assuage fears about his health.
But over the weekend, doubts flared after reports that a cancerous lesion was removed from his chest. And after a political event, the 80-year-old Biden fell back on clumsy old habits — literally.
The elderly Democratic leader fell on Air Force One’s stairs on Sunday… and this isn’t the first time.
The president spent Sunday in Selma, Alabama, to commemorate the 58th anniversary of the civil rights protests. Before boarding his plane in Montgomery, he tripped.
It had not rained in Montgomery that day.
“Still the same old Biden,” one Twitter user remarked.

One observer joked that Biden looked drunk. “Dude walks exactly like I walk up the stairs at the last Bar Crawl destination.”
“And he ran a four minute mile?” one Twitter user said sarcastically. Another user discussed Biden’s clumsiness and its capacity to “defy the laws of gravity.”
Some Biden supporters tried to fault conservatives for questioning the president’s health. “Mocking old men is the true sign of a party with its priorities straight,” one person said.
Another person blamed the stairs for maybe, possibly violating safety regulations. Twitter users speculated as to whether Air Force One’s stairs have the same anti-slip pads as the stairs at commercial airports.
“Has someone measured those steps. I’m now convinced they aren’t to code,” one person said.
Another person cracked a joke about Biden’s failure to build back a better staircase.
Biden has tripped over the stairs before, and so have some other passengers on Air Force One.
One observer asked, “Wait, I lost the count, it’s the 2nd time or the 3rd time ?”
Another person chimed in, “3rd time.”
During his recent physical exam, Biden was reportedly in fair health, but suffers some ailments like spinal arthritis, a once-broken foot, and sensory peripheral neuropathy in his feet.
Biden also had a cancerous lesion removed by doctors, the White House announced over the weekend.
