President Joe Biden addressed the public on Wednesday night to address the deadly ISIS massacre at Kabul’s airport. However, the speech including an ominous sign for the Americans still trapped in Afghanistan.
Lightning struck the White House around the time of the speech.
Uh oh.
Critics said the speech continued going downhill from there.
Biden was criticized for the strange manner in which he fielded questions from the press.
After the speech, he said, “Ladies and gentlemen, they gave me a list here. The first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O’Donnell of NBC.”
He took a wordy softball question from O’Donnell.
She asked, “Do you believe that you will authorize additional forces to address the attack inside Afghanistan, and are you prepared to add additional forces to protect those Americans who remain on the ground carrying out the evacuation operation?”
Biden answered, “Whatever they need. If they need additional force, I will grant it.”
Then he moved down his “list.”
“Trevor? Reuters?” he said, calling on Reuters’ Trevor Hunnicutt.

Some commentators found it odd that Biden had taken such rigid instructions on which reporters to interview.

Biden finishes speech, goes directly to notes, and now reads off list of pre-approved reporters for pre-approved questions.
Totalitarian clown show.

Toward the end of the conference, Biden was behaving even more strangely. More specifically, he began questioning the reporters. Usually, it’s the other way around.
“If Osama bin Laden, as well as al-Qaeda, had chosen to launch an attack — when they left Saudi Arabia — out of Yemen, would we have ever gone to Afghanistan, even though the Taliban completely controlled Afghanistan at the time?”
Biden continued, “I know it’s not fair to ask you questions. … but raise your hand if you think we should’ve gone!”
The speech came to a rocky ending after that.
“This is the last comment I’ll make. We’ll have more chance to talk this about, unfortunately, beyond — because we’re not out yet,” Biden said.
“May God bless you all, and may God protect the troops and all those standing watch for America.”
