Poll stunner! Nine percent of Biden voters flip

President Joe Biden spent the early months of his presidency coasting on a high approval rating.

Not anymore.

Nine percent of Democrats regret their 2020 vote, Rasmussen reported in a new poll. That’s one in every 11.

The bad news doesn’t stop there. It categorized every voter as either a Democrat, a Republican, or a moderate. By these metrics, moderate support for Biden has plummeted by a stunning 13 points.

Only 37 percent of voters would vote for Biden today.

Meanwhile, only 31 percent of Americans believe the country to be on the right track, RealClearPolitics reported yesterday. In March that number was 55 percent.

How does this compare to past presidents?

In April 2017, a Washington Post/ABC News poll found that only two percent of Trump voters regret their votes for Trump. However, Trump’s support softened later. In October 2017, a Morning Consult/Politico survey found that only 82 percent of self-identified Trump voters would vote for Trump again if they could relive the 2016 election. Seven percent said they would vote for another candidate and five percent said they stay home on election day.

In other words, it’s not surprising to see a dip in Biden’s polling. Like Biden, previous presidents often have stumbled out of their honeymoon periods.

However, it’s still surprising to see a dip of this size so suddenly.

Biden voters are watching the rise of the delta variant and the fiasco in Afghanistan — and they’re unhappy.

The dip in polling also comes as the public becomes concerned about the lack of firings. On Tuesday Brett Bruen, the director of global engagement for former President Barack Obama, called for Biden to fire National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.

If Biden wants to govern after the midterm elections in 2022, then this poll spells big trouble.
