Merry Christmas!
Today, Americans gather with their loved ones to celebrate the birth of Christ. And as we enter the final week of 2018, it’s time to take a look back on the year that was.
The mainstream media is pretending 2018 was some kind of nightmare year despite the fact that we’re a nation at peace, the economy of President Donald Trump is expanding at historic rates, and Americans have more money in their pockets than ever before.
So here’s what THEY won’t give you… here’s the TRUTH about the past 12 months and why we should celebrate 2018 as a year filled with incredible moments of hope and achievement.
It’s more than Santa could fit into his sack last night, that’s for sure:
MARCH 13: President Donald Trump proposed a true game-changer: A “Space Force” as a new and powerful branch of the United States military.
“Space is a war-fighting domain, just like the land, air and sea,” Trump said at the time. “We may even have a space force.”
The left mocked him. Now, leaders in both science and the military agree: It’s a brilliant idea that will drive scientific advances in space and lead to stronger national defense.
“Just because it came out of Trump’s mouth doesn’t require that it then be a crazy thing,” Neil deGrasse Tyson told Stephen Colbert on the “Late Show” on October. “In fact, if I had any say in the matter, I’d say, why don’t you throw in asteroid defense? We need some of that. And why don’t you clean up space while you’re at it, get rid of the space debris? That would be a defensive move.”
MAY 14: In one of the most historic diplomatic moves of the Trump presidency, the United States formally opened it embassy in Jerusalem.
The move solidifies the American alliance with Israel, our staunchest ally and the one shining example of democracy in the Middle East.
It also sends a strong signal to Iran and others trying to destroy Israel: Not on our watch!
JUNE 12: President Donald Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un met in Singapore and signed a document in which they pledged “to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”
Since then, North Korea has stopped nuclear testing and ended its belligerence.
“I think our whole relationship with North Korea and the Korean Peninsula is going to be a very different situation than it has in the past,” Trump predicted.
So far, he’s been 100 percent correct.
SEPT 28: In a rare victory for conservatives in pop culture, the TV comedy series “Last Man Standing” returned to air.
The Tim Allen comedy had been cancelled by ABC, but not for the usual reasons.
“Last Man Standing” had strong ratings, leading many to speculate it was axed due to Allen’s unapologetic conservative beliefs as well as the show’s politically incorrect humor.
Now, the show has found a new home on Fox.
OCT 6: Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed despite a shady last-minute attack on his character based on unsubstantiated allegations and some accusations that have been proven to be flat-out false.
It wasn’t just Kavanaugh that gave conservatives a reason to smile.
Trump and the GOP Congress have been stacking the federal bench with proven constitutional jurists rather than liberal activists, a move that will help ensure the sanity of the courts for generations to come.
NOV 26: The Mars InSight lander reaches its destination, another major achievement by the U.S. space program.
This one is no mere photography rover.
It’s a fully functioning and highly advanced science lab that’s going to drill more than 15 feet below the Martian surface, giving NASA more information about Mars than ever before and helping to determine if Red Planet can host a human colony in the not-too-distant future.
Maybe the leftists always threatening to move to Canada will volunteer to be first on Mars!
There’s a quiet beauty here. Looking forward to exploring my new home. #MarsLanding pic.twitter.com/mfClzsfJJr

DEC: Looking to end the year on a laugh?
Here’s one for you: The much-ballyhooed speaking tour by Bill and Hillary Clinton has been a flop, with the pair “speaking” to a whole lot of empty seats.
In a defeat perhaps as humiliating as the 2016 election loss, Fox News reports that they’re resorted to trying to sell seats via the Groupon online discounting service, with some tickets selling for as much as 60 percent off.
That’s enough to have us saying, “Merry Christmas… and Happy New Year!”
