Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon went on CBS’ “60 Minutes” Sunday to discuss his time in the White House — and he didn’t hold back on his punches.
Bannon dismissed unproven accusations he was a racist, and turned the tables by pointing out the mainstream media was helping further the goals of white supremacists like David Duke.
He also called CBS host Charlie Rose a “limousine liberal” and said elitist Democrats should stop lecturing the rest of America about racism and feelings.
“I was raised in a desegregated neighborhood,” Bannon said. “The north-side of Richmond is predominately black. Okay? I went to an integrated school and I served in the military.”
“I don’t need to be lectured by a bunch of limousine liberals from the Upper East Side of New York and from the Hamptons about any of this. My lived experience is that,” Bannon concluded.
