“On the Holmes Front,” with Frank Holmes
The last two elections have show Democrats use the liberal-dominated intelligence agencies—the FBI, the CIA, and other organs of the Deep State—to smear their opponents and tip elections in their favor. Now, bloodied Republicans are finally fighting back.
It seems appropriate the man leading the charge is a former wrestler: Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio.
Jordan, who came within a few votes of becoming Speaker of the House, is demanding the Biden administration explain when, why, and how they tried to spike a Senate investigation into then-candidate Joe Biden during the heat of the 2020 presidential election.
Jordan blows the lid off of a direct Democrat-to-Deep-State operation that tried to spare Biden the embarrassment of a major scandal… and win the White House for the Democratic Party establishment.
Republican Senators Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin launched an investigation into Hunter Biden’s ties to Ukrainian energy company Burisma..and whether it showed Joe Biden had been corrupted. “If I were a Democrat primary voter, I’d want these questions satisfactorily answered before I cast my final vote,” said Johnson.
Democrats immediately began regurgitating familiar clams that they were doing Russian bidding.
“There is plenty in the public domain that Russia was behind a lot of these fables and stories,” claimed Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va.
Even the espionage and counterintelligence experts at Vanity Fair warned in February that their “investigation could play right into Russia’s hands.”
The senators ignored the backlash, so just before the 2020 election kicked into high gear, a group of congressional Democrats—led by then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Adam Schiff, and Senators Chuck Schumer and Warner—sent a letter asking the FBI to help them brand investigations into Biden family corruption as “Russian disinformation.”
“Congress appears to be the target of a concerted foreign interference campaign, which seeks to launder and amplify disinformation in order to influence congressional activity, public debate, and the presidential election in November,” they wrote on July 13, 2020.
About three weeks later—on August 6—two FBI agents gave a “defensive briefing” to Senators Grassley and Johnson that might just be manipulated by foreign actors.
That let Democrats crow that they were right all along—that the impartial analysts in the intelligence community agree with them.
“[T]he unnecessary FBI briefing provided the Democrats and liberal media the vehicle to spread their false narrative that our work advanced Russian disinformation,” Sens. Grassley and Johnson wrote to their briefers. “Although you stated that the FBI didn’t intend to ‘interfere’ in our investigation, the practical effect of such an unnecessary briefing and the subsequent leaks relating to it created interference, which frustrated and obstructed congressional oversight efforts.”
What’s more, the information the FBI agents presented didn’t have a thing to do with the dirt they dug up on the Bidens.
“The briefing was unnecessary and completely irrelevant to the substance of our investigation,” Sen. Grassley testified before the House Weaponization of Government subcommittee. “It was only done because the Democrats wanted it done so they could try and smear us. And the FBI wrongly did their bidding.”
To make matters even stranger, the FBI agents who provided the briefing testified that the information they used didn’t come from the FBI—it was from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
The fact that these investigations happened at all should chill Americans, the senators said… because the pro-Democrat election move took place under a Republican administration.
“This obstruction of these investigations were occurring during the Trump administration, under Attorney General Bill Barr,” Sen. Johnson told Fox Business last week. “Senator Grassley and I were both actually targets of that operation to dissuaude us off of our investigation of Hunter Biden.”
“Over a number of years, over past administrations, the FBI has thwarted legitimate leads and has prevented its agents from actually investigating Joe Biden’s corruption,” Sen. Johnson said.
“We’ve got a real problem of corruption and partisan actions,” said Johnson, pointing out how the FBI “followed the leads on a totally false investigation of Trump campaign ‘collusion with Russia.’”

We know the Democrats also dredged up dozens of former intelligence operatives to sign a letter that the Hunter Biden laptop was Putin propaganda.
Now, Jim Jordan is fighting back.
He’s demanding Biden Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines turn over all information that led up to the “defensive briefing,” including all information about Pelosi’s letter, everyone involved in the decision to green-light the presentation, and every draft of the script they wrote leading up to the August 2020 briefing.
Jordan is demanding the Biden’s ODNI “provide this material as soon as possible but no later than November 15.”

Jordan’s actions are heartening enough—but for once, he’s not alone.

Meanwhile, the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into the Biden family keeps finding smoking guns.
House investigators found a $200,000 check from China, followed by a $40,000 check directly to Joe Biden. Those checks come out to roughly “10 percent for The Big Guy.”
It’s rare when elected officials do anything, especially if it means taking a step against the labyrinth of intelligence agencies that secretly massage public opinion toward their own political prejudices.
These statesmen deserve our thanks, our votes—and our support when the Deep State inevitably targets, leaks, and lies about them.
